Donald M. Laudenslager
Donald M. Laudenslager, 90, formerly of Orefield, died Sept. 20, 2025, at Fellowship Community where he had been residing. He was the husband of the late Jane Ellen (Kuhns) Laudenslager. Born in Orefield, he was the son of the late Martin B. and Lulu A. (Schrader) Laudenslager.
He was the assistant director of school services for the Parkland School District for 25 years before retiring in 1996. Previously, he worked for 16 years in construction.
Active in the life of his church, he was a lifelong member of Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, Orefield, where he formerly served on the cemetery board of directors, head usher, council member and volunteer. He also was a former Meals on Wheels volunteer for many years. He was an avid hunter and huge Eagles and Phillies fan especially Richie Ashburn as his favorite player.
He is survived by a son, Jeffrey D. and his wife, Rosemarie, of Orefield; daughter, Judith M. Murphy and her husband, Kevin, of Orefield; grandchildren, Andrew J. Murphy, Erica M. Murphy.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Holly M.; siblings, Richard C. and Mary L. Lellyo.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Sept. 27 at Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield. The Rev. Dody S. Siegfried will be officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects 9-10:20 a.m. prior to the service.
