Coplay Public Library: Coplay library book, bake sale planned for Oct. 3, 4

The Coplay Public Library fall book sale will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 3 and 4. There will be a great selection of books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games and more. There will also be a bake sale and basket raffle.

The library will also be raffling off three gift baskets during the sale. You can check out the baskets and buy tickets in the library now until the drawing, scheduled for Oct. 6.

Reminder: Preschool storytime and craft is set for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 26 and Oct. 10 and 24. Registration is not required.

Come to the library to watch free movies 11 a.m. Saturdays. The movie schedule features “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” Sept. 27, “Monster House” Oct. 18 and “Coco” Oct. 25.

Celebrate the season at the library’s fall festival, set for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 11. The rain date is Oct. 25.

The fun will start with storytime and craft with Janice until noon. Then, decorate a pumpkin, have your face painted, test your skills at corn hole and try our scavenger hunt.

Refreshments will be available.

The shopping passes for Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends fundraising event are here, so mark your calendar for 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Oct. 22.

You will enjoy a discount on your in-store purchases and a chance to win a Boscov’s gift card. All proceeds from purchasing passes go to the library.

Vince’s Famous Cheesesteaks food truck will be in the parking lot of Saylor Park, 245 N. Second St., for a library fundraiser noon-6 p.m. Oct. 23. There will be also be a bake sale.

Our Fiber Arts and Friends Circle group meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Adults and teens are welcome.

Learn to crochet, work on a current needlework project or just get advice from our more experienced crafters. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles for you to use if needed.

The coloring group for teens and adults meets 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. No registration is required.

Sign up your child for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Read any book to your newborn, infant and/or toddler. Keep track of the titles of the books on our convenient reading log sheets or any other method you choose. When patrons reach 50, and then for each 100 books, they will get an award.

There is no time limit to the program, and more than one child can participate.
