Catasauqua: Community center to hold bingo
Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be holding bingo 1 p.m. Sept 28. Doors open noon.
Bingo will continue with tricky tray, a 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game and more. There will be refreshments available for purchase.
Bring a donation of a nonperishable food item, pet food or paper product (facial tissues, paper towels or toilet paper) for Whitehall Food Pantry and receive a strip of specials to be played on the first four specials.
Reserving seats is not necessary, but if you wish to do so, call or text 610-533-1357.
Remember the center has increased its cash prize payouts.

Catasauqua Garden Club will meet 1 p.m. Oct. 1 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.
The meeting will be about companionship. Apparently, some plants grow better when planted with certain other plants. Lynn Dautrich, a Pennsylvania Master Gardener, will discuss these companionships and their benefits.
The club members always have artistic design and horticultural exhibits on display for judging.
All are welcome.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Oct. 11 at the church. The seatings are set for 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The menu consists of spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, bread and butter, beverages and desserts.
The cost is by donation.

The Catasauqua/North Catasauqua joint Halloween parade will be held Oct. 22, with a rain date of Oct. 29.
This year, the parade features a new route. The parade begins at 14th and Walnut streets and travels Walnut Street to St. John Street, St. John Street to Church Street, Church Street to Howertown Road, Howertown Road to Bridge Street, Bridge Street to Fourth Street, Fourth Street to Buttonwood Street and Buttonwood Street to Sixth Street. The parade will end at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.

Trick or treat will be held 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31 this year.
