Mary (Golab) Lawrence, 98, of Bethlehem, died Sept. 9, 2025. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Helena (Zielenska) Golab. She was the wife of the late Francis W. Lawrence.

She was a 1944 Bethlehem HS, now known as Liberty HS, graduate.

She worked in the production department at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. office on Third Street. She was a financial secretary for Woodmen Life Insurance.

She was a Democratic committee woman for the 14th Ward, 4th District, at Spring Garden School. She retired in 1989 from Bethlehem Catholic HS where she was a food server in the cafeteria for over 22 years.

She was a member of St. Anne’s Parish of Bethlehem and its of the church Sodality.

She was a member of the SAWASA group and helped to coordinate the membership bus trips and of Sts. Simon and Jude Seniors. She volunteered at St. Francis Friary for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Maureen F. Lawrence of Center Valley; a son, Francis G. Lawrence and wife Carol of Bethlehem; and two grandchildren, Robert F. Lawrence and Ryan F. Lawrence.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Agnes Mozaeke, Adella Martin and Helen Werkheiser,;and her foster sister, Blanche Avilla.
