Jerri Bonawitz, 75, of Allentown, died Sept. 5, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Frances (O’Donnell) Weaver.

She was a customer service rep at Guardian Life Insurance until she retired.

Moving into the Christmas season was her most special time of year.

She is survived by two children, Michael (Dawn) Bonawitz of Bethlehem and Niki (Brian) Melendez of Allentown; siblings: Harry “Skip” (Patricia) Weaver of Bethlehem Township, Sally Spairana of Easton; five grandchildren, Michael Bonawitz Jr., Kaitlin Melendez, MacKenna (Chris) Lawless, Brianna Melendez and Emily Melendez; and a great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Melendez.

Contributions may be made to the Maple Hills Veterinary Hospital, 862 Kressler Road, Allentown, PA 18103; and/or Peaceable Kingdom, 1049 MacArthur Road, Whitehall.
