UKRAINIAN LEAGUE: The Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA), the oldest and largest Ukrainian women’s organization in the United States, is marking its 100th anniversary in 2025 and Bethlehem’s Branch 91 will host the Commonwealth’s only official celebration and fundraiser. The milestone event will take place on Sunday, Sep. 28, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Northampton County Club, 5049 William Penn Hwy. The celebration is open to the public.

Branch 91 aims to raise $10,000 to support UNWLA’s national social welfare projects, which provide humanitarian aid, scholarships and relief efforts for Ukraine and Ukrainian communities abroad.

ARCHERY RANGES: Northampton County and the Pennsylvania Game Commission are proud to announce the opening of two brand new archery ranges, offering local hunters and recreational archery enthusiasts state-of-the-art facilities in the region.

Wayne A. Grube Memorial Park, 1200 Willowbrook Road, Northampton – 1 p.m.

Constructed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission on county park property, these ranges will provide access to hunters and recreational archery shooters. This collaboration represents the first partnership of its kind between a county and the Pennsylvania Game Commission in Pennsylvania.

HERITAGE CELEBRATION: A can’t-miss evening of live music, dance, cuisine, and cultural pride, all in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Saturday, Sept. 27, 6 to 10 p.m., Wind Creek Event Center, Monocacy Room, 77 Wind Creek Blvd., Bethlehem. Proceeds fuel SISU’s life-changing programs supporting vulnerable individuals and families in the Lehigh Valley. Hosted by SISU Empowering Others, a nonprofit dedicated to culturally responsive wellness, mentorship and community-building for those affected by trauma, HIV, addiction or social marginalization.

FAITH CRAWL: The Bethlehem Interfaith Group is planning a Faith Crawl, in which bus travelers will visit three Bethlehem houses of faith. The event is planned for Sunday, Oct. 5 from 3-6 p.m. and there is a suggested donation to cover the bus cost. This event is open to the public. All participants must register using this online sign-up form: bit.ly/3KancLF. Participants can also call the First Presbyterian Church at 610-867-5865 to register.

The Faith Crawl will include tours and presentations at Congregation Brith Sholom, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and Respect Graduate School and Mosque.

OKTOBERFEST: Oktoberfest, presented by Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE), returns to the ArtsQuest Campus at SteelStacks for its 15th year of German-inspired fun.

Kicking off the first weekend, Oct. 3 - 5 with a second weekend set to take place Oct. 10 through Oct. 12, this FREE festival is packed with German traditions and unique competitions – from official steinholding competitions and pretzel tossing to dachshund races and Kong Pong. WINDISH ANNIVERSARY: St. Joseph’s Windish Slovenian Roman Catholic Church is celebrating the 108th anniversary of the consecration of the church Tuesday, Oct. 28, with a Mass at 11 a.m. A luncheon at Se-Wy-Co Social Hall, 1 Kenny Headman Lane, Bethlehem, will follow the Mass. The public is invited.
