Simple assault

A 26-year-old female, of Bethlehem, was charged Sept. 4 with simple assault, harassment and criminal trespass after allegedly entering a home of a another person in the 1100 block of Maumee Avenue and headbutting that person during a disturbance, according to Salisbury police. The person who was struck sustained a facial injury and was transported to the hospital by an EMS crew, according to authorities.

A 40-year-old female, of East Susquehanna Street, was charged Sept. 5 with simple assault and harassment after allegedly cutting another person’s hand with a knife during a disturbance, according to Salisbury police. The person who was cut was treated by EMS responders.

PFA

A 32-year-old male, of Walnutport, was charged Aug. 31 with indirect criminal contempt after allegedly violating a Protection From Abuse order in the 1300 block of Fairfax Street, according to Salisbury police.

Simple trespass

A 36-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged Sept. 3 with simple trespass after allegedly entering the home of another person and causing a disturbance in the 1400 block of Keystone Avenue, according to Salisbury police.

Forgery

A 29-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody Sept. 4 after police learned he had an active arrest warrant for forgery during a traffic stop in the area of South Cedar Crest Boulevard and Lindberg Avenue, according to Salisbury police.

Truck fire

Salisbury police officers responded to Salisbury Road at Byfield Street after a truck carrying trash caught fire Sept. 2, according to Salisbury police. The road was closed for approximately three hours. No one was hurt, according to authorities.

Road closure

Salisbury police officers closed the 3300 block of Lehigh Street Sept. 4 due to the road flooding in the wake of heavy rains, according to Salisbury police. The road was temporarily closed until the water subsided.

Tree falls

A large tree fell into the road in the 3000 block of South Pike Avenue, blocking both lanes, Sept. 5, according to Salisbury Police. One unattended vehicle was struck and damaged by the tree. The road was closed for “an extended period of time,” according to a news release from police. No one was hurt.

Mutual aid assist

Officers were called to the 600 block of Furnace Street, Emmaus, Sept. 1 to offer assistance to Emmaus police after an armed person was allegedly threatening to harm himself, according to Salisbury police. The Lehigh County Municipal Emergency Response Team also responded.

Officers were called to gas station and convenience store Wawa, 1449 Broadway, Fountain Hill, Sept. 5 to help Fountain Hill police during a disturbance, according to Salisbury police.

Crash

A 22-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle license after a crash in the 1500 block of Seidersville Road Sept. 1 in which one person was hurt, according to Salisbury police. Investigators determined the motorcycle driver lost control on a curve in the road and his passenger fell off the motorcycle. The passenger was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, for treatment, according to authorities.

Disturbances

Officers went to the 400 block of East Federal Street for a disturbance Sept. 1, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers went to the 1000 block of East Susquehanna Street for a disturbance Sept. 3, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers went to the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue for a disturbance Sept. 6, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.
