EHS names student of the week
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My mom’s name is Tara. I have four brothers: Bryan, Aidan, Scott and Eric. My dog’s name is Fergus.
Q. As a senior, do you have any specific goals you will pursue this academic year?
A. Maintain all A’s, workout five times a week and shoot under 100 in golf.
Q. What is your favorite class at Emmaus High School? Why?
A. My favorite class was AP Chemistry, because my teacher Mr. Harkness did a very good job teaching us difficult material well while keeping the class fun. I also made many friends in that class.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I won the third place award in economics at the Future Business Leaders of America Pa. State Competition and qualified for the national competition in California. I am in both National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. I received the AP Scholar with Distinction Award. I was awarded the Achievement in Computer Science Award at the underclassmen award ceremony. I have been on the Principal’s Honor Roll every semester at Emmaus High School
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?
A. I am on the varsity boys volleyball team and varsity academic team. I am a member and officer in multiple clubs: SAT Prep Club, No Place for Hate Club and Future Business Leaders of America. Being in these activities shaped me into the man I am today, like a sculptor to marble.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. Procrastination!
Q. At this time, what are your plans for the future beyond high school?
A. I will go to college and get an MBA in finance.
Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with an historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?
A. LeBron because he was a kid that thought he could; could be great, could be strong, could put in the work, could inspire millions. And then went and actually did it.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I want to be remembered as someone that showed up every day ready to work.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. To open a door, you must first turn the knob.
