North Catasauqua: Pay NBMA water invoices by Sept. 19 to avoid penalties
Northampton Borough Municipal Authority water invoices were mailed out to borough residents and businesses. The due date without a penalty is Sept. 19.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., Catasauqua, will hold its ninth annual Oktoberfest 5-9 p.m. Sept. 20 in the parish center. Outdoor seating will be available, weather permitting.
Come for dinner and enjoy your homemade German favorites like pulled pork, chicken schnitzel, spaetzle, brats and more. The biergarten will be stocked with your favorite German and domestic beers. There will be live music all night long by Robbie Lawrence and the Steelworkers band.
A basket raffle will take place and homemade desserts will be sold. This event is free to attend, so no outside food or drinks are permitted.

A planning commission meeting will be held 5:30 p.m. Sept. 23 for proposed developments of homes at 820-834 Hunter St. and 1250 Seventh St. The hearing will be held at borough hall, 1066 Fourth St.

Father Tolentino from St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church will be participating in the Cooks with Collars Allentown Diocese fundraiser until Sept. 30. While his video was recorded at St. Mary’s this year, each parish will receive their own votes and donations.

Adult Bible study at St. Mary’s Catholic Church will be held 7-8:45 p.m. Wednesdays Oct. 8, 22 and 29 and Nov. 5, 12 and 19 in the parish center. “The Bible and The Sacraments” illuminates the deeply scriptural roots of the sacraments, examining the rich relationship between the Old and New Testaments and their connections to the rites of the Catholic Church.

The 18th annual Best of North Catasauqua Autumnfest will take place Oct. 12 at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St., beginning 11 a.m. The rain date is Oct. 18.
There will be live music on the band stand with Flirtin’ with the Mob 1-5 p.m. There will also be food, a craft vendor market, a bounce house for kids, face painting, balloon figures for kids, raffles, finger printing for kids by the police department and a classic car show.

The 2025 North Catasauqua/Catasauqua Halloween parade will take place 7 p.m. Oct. 22. To highlight both borough parks and to enable traffic to flow smoother, this year will feature a new parade route.
The parade begins at 14th and Walnut streets and travels Walnut Street to St. John Street, St. John Street to Church Street, Church Street to Howertown Road, Howertown Road to Bridge Street, Bridge Street to Fourth Street, Fourth Street to Buttonwood Street and Buttonwood Street to Sixth Street. The parade will end at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park.
The rain date for the parade is Oct. 29.
The North Catasauqua/Catasauqua Halloween parade committee is seeking participants and sponsors for the 2025 event.

The North Catasauqua Police Association will host its annual free veterans breakfast 8-10 a.m. Nov. 8 at the Masonic Lodge, 1103 Sixth St.
