Lehigh Township Historical Society’s mum sale will be Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., unless sold out sooner, at the Historical Centre, 3811 Lehigh Drive. Colors available are red, white, yellow, orange and purple. There will also be a variety of baked goods for sale.

LTHS will be holding an open house 1-4 p.m. Sept. 21 at the St. Paul’s One-Room Schoolhouse, 778 Almond Road, Walnutport, and the Historical Centre Museum. Come out and learn some local history!

Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, is holding its 30th annual basket social Oct. 3.

Guests will have the chance to win a wide variety of baskets. For those feeling extra lucky, the special table will feature high-value prizes worth $50 and up.

A full menu will be offered, including barbecue, halushki, soups and baked goods. Food is available for dine-in or takeout.

Proceeds will be shared between Hope’s Good Samaritan Fund and Lutheran Disaster Relief for Texas Flood Victims.

For three decades, this event has brought friends, families and neighbors together for an evening of fellowship, fun and community support.
