Cars and Coffee get the heart revving

‘Cars and Coffee‘ on Aug. 24 featured Eurocars on the main lot at SteelStacks, but there were plenty of classics and muscle cars on a secondary lot that gave car fans lots of options.

A steady flow of automotive enthusiasts circulated throughout SteelStacks photographing their favorites and chatting with owners and like-minded fans.

And, owners were ready with their stories, like Jason Desmond from Riegelsville and Dave Hutchison from Pottstown.

Desmond, who exhibited his beautifully restored 1968 Volkswagen Campmobile, said his vehicle was in “very rough shape.” He worked on the mechanicals and wiring, and had it given a new paint job. Now he and his wife use it for weekend camping trips.

Hutchinson related that he was “both drunk and high” when he made the best decision in his life” to acquire his Triumph TR 3A with an Italian hand built body. He says there are maybe 10 on the road in the United States out of the 35 shipped here. He restored it in 1992-1995.

The final ‘Cars and Coffee’ of 2025 is scheduled on Sept. 21 at 8 a.m. Koch Automotive Group is the event sponsor.
