Walter “Wladyslaw” Welykanicz, 74, of Whitehall, died Aug. 30, 2025, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Jean (Drahuszczak) Welykanicz for 41 years.

Born in Tabory, Poland, he was a son of the late Jan and Anna (Prystasz) Welykanycz.

He was employed on the production line for J. Sussman Inc. and later as a mechanic for LANTA.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Jaroslaw, Bogdan and Andrzej; and several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

Contributions may be made to the church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton.
