It is the time of the year that some students love, while others loathe.

SHS invites parents to visit for open house 6:45-9 p.m. Sept 25. This is a great opportunity for families of new freshmen and new students to meet teachers and see the school.
SES will hold its first PTO meeting and dinner 6-8 p.m. Sept 15. Come out and learn what this organization does for SES and make sure to be a part of it.
Did you know there is a local plantfest happening next weekend? The Lehigh Valley Wicked Plantfest will be held at the ArtsQuest Center at the SteelStacks 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 14. This event is free to attend and offers plenty of free parking. Most vendors are bagless, so it does help to bring a reusable bag. There is always an amazing variety of items to peruse and something for everyone to take home.!
Are you looking to add some love to your family? The Lehigh Valley Humane Society is waiving all adoption fees for cats, kittens, small animals and adult dogs Sept 9-14. Don’t miss this chance to find your new best friend! Stop by for a visit or visit their website and start your adoption questionnaire at lehighhumane.org!
The township recycling drop off sites are open. The Franko Farm site will open Sept. 11 and 13 and the Devonshire site will be open Sept. 15, 18 and 20. Drop off center hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
