K-Kid Roundup: Jusinski 9th, golf wins

Parkland hosted a cross country meet with Allen, Easton, Northampton and Dieruff on Tuesday.

The NHS boys fell to Parkland but defeated Allen and Dieruff. The girls fell to Parkland and were edged by Dieruff but did defeat Allen.

The Trojan boys dominated in their meet with Colin McGuigan taking first in 17:10.39. The Trojans had eight runners in the top-10.

Michael Snyder was the top boys runner for the Kids taking 27th in 20:13.39. Right behind him was Michael Muessig in 28th in 20:14.03.

Gavin Beam was 76th in 23:22.66, Liam Sekol was 91st in 26:02.76. Isaiah Deveney was 100th in 33:46.19 and Benjamin Forte was 101st in 34:19.19.

For the girls, Liv Jusinski took 9th place for the Kids, her time was 22:22.39. The race was won by Parkland’s Harshita Keerthi of Parkland who had the winning time of 20:04.78.

Juliana Joseph was 46th for the Kids in 25:58.72, Alexa Wright took 60th in 27:27.73 and Brielle Torres was 79th in 33:39.11. Allison Rounsaville was 82nd in 35:58.43.

In golf action from Tuesday, the Kids defeated Whitehall as they now prep for the postseason.

Northampton shot 396 and Whitehall shot 444.

Andrew Eberts shot a 76 to lead the way. Cooper Fry and CJ Stumpf both shot 78s in the win.

Derek Moyer and Chase Bodnar each shot an 82 and Corbin Miller shot an 84. Lukas Bendekovits carded an 85.
