Week 1
As we start a new year in the Suburban Dart League, we find Christ UCC beating defending champ St. Paul’s 2-0 and 6-4 in 11 innings, losing the nightcap 1-0. Leading the way for Christ UCC: George Gasper going 5-12 (HR), Eric Yocum 5-13, and Ed Yost 4-12. For St. Paul’s, Dave Clark went 5-12, Roger Kern 5-13, and Jennifer Erkinger 4-13.
In a sweep, Farmersville won 5-3, 5-2 and 5-4 over Star of Bethlehem. Hitters for Farmersville Included Dan Halteman 8-12, Campbell 5-12, Rick Kittek 5-13 (HR), with Jason Steigerwalt adding another HR. Ron Frankenfield was 7-12, Bill Hoke Jr. 5-12, Scott Hoffert, and Joey Hoffert with a HR.
In another sweep we find Dryland winning over Ebenezer by scores of 3-2, 6-1, and 2-1. Top hitters for Dryland were Earl Sigley 5-11 (HR), Bernie Yurko 5-11, Butch Silfies 4-10, and Rich Durn with a HR. For Ebenezer, Joey Kish was 4-12 along with Paul Yoder with Joe Kish adding a HR.
Emmanuel sandwiched 3-2 and 2-1 wins around a 3-0 loss to Blessed Trinity. Leading hitters for Emmanuel were Bob Bast 5-11 and Chuck Achenzie 4-10, while Buzz Heidecker went 4-9, Todd Jones 3-8 (HR) and Chuck Crisafi with a HR.
