Accidents involving death or personal injury

A 45-year-old female, of Bethlehem, was charged with alleged accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, careless driving and vehicle turning left after a two-vehicle crash in the 1700 block of East Emmaus Avenue Aug. 22, according to authorities. The Bethlehem motorist turned left toward Illingsworth Avenue in front of another vehicle, causing the crash. The Bethlehem motorist was evaluated at the crash by EMS but did not seek medical care. The other motorist and his passenger were injured and transported to a hospital for treatment. Police determined the Bethlehem motorist had a suspended driver’s license at the time of the crash.

Truck accident

Salisbury police and crews from Eastern Salisbury Township Fire Department were called to the 1200 block of Fairfax Street after a sanitation truck struck a gas line Aug. 18, according to Salisbury police. No injuries were reported and the gas line was repaired by energy company UGI, according to authorities.

Crash

Salisbury police officers were requested by Allentown police to help in the 2500 block of South Fourth Street in the city after a tree fell in front of a moving vehicle and caused a crash, according to Salisbury police. Officers assisted Allentown police as needed, according to authorities.

Harassment

A 54-year-old male, of Wescosville, was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened and attempted to strike a hospital security officer at Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Aug. 18, according to Salisbury police. Police described the Wescosville man as “intoxicated” at the time.

Wires down

Salisbury police were called to the 800 block of Robin Hood Drive and to the 800 block of South 25th Street to help Western Salisbury Township Volunteer Fire Company crews after reports of electric wires down and causing trees to catch fire Aug. 17, according to Salisbury police.

Indecent exposure

Salisbury police received a report of indecent exposure involving one male at the Hackerman Patz House, 1260 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Lehigh Valley Hospital campus, Aug. 22, according to Salisbury police.

Noise disturbance

Salisbury police were called to Walking Purchase Park, 1292 Constitution Drive, 9:25 p.m. Aug. 19 and 5:34 p.m. Aug. 21 for multiple reports of loud music, according to authorities. Each time a 33-year-old male, of Whitehall and a 28-year-old male, of New York, allegedly were found in the park with large speakers. On Aug. 21, a 35-year-old male, of Allentown, also was in the park with the two men and also allegedly had a large speaker. “All three men were cited under Salisbury Township Ordinance — Prohibited Acts (for causing a noise disturbance),” according to a news release.

Unwanted person

Officers were called to Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, for an unwanted person Aug. 21, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Disturbances

Officers were called to Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, for a disturbance in a parking lot about a parking space Aug. 19, according Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to the 200 block of East Emmaus Avenue for a disturbance Aug. 20, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to the 400 block of East Federal Street for a disturbance Aug. 21, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Salisbury officers were requested for mutual aid assistance in the 4000 block of Abbott Street, Upper Saucon Township, for a disturbance Aug. 17, according to Salisbury police. Officers helped Upper Saucon Township Police as needed.

Traffic safety detail

On Aug. 21 Salisbury officers conducted a traffic safety detail in the 2700-3000 block area of South Pike Avenue under an aggressive driving grant. According to authorities, 43 traffic stops were made, resulting in 57 traffic citations issued.
