Roughie Roundup Girls soccer gets a victory
The field hockey team fell to Palmerton 3-2.
Palmerton had goals from Chelsea Brown on an assist from Tessa Sander followed by goals from Kylie Bonser, and then Bonser in overtime on a pass from Sander. Sarah Sabo made five saves in the win while the Bombers had 18 shots on goal.
Catty’s goals came from Shelby Hademan on an assist from Kamyrn Pushkar. Kiara Estrella scored Catty’s second goal.
Elizabeth Bass made 14 saves for the Rough Riders.
Salisbury knocked off Catty 8-0.
Gwyn DeFazio scored three goals for the Falcons in the win while Sarah Beckage had two.

The girls soccer team scored a 4-0 win over Jim Thorpe.
Catty got off to a fast start, scoring three times in the first half.
Ana Rodriquez-Ramos, Mia Gomes and Eva Gomes each scored first half goals for the Rough Riders. Mia Gomes notched her second goal in the second half. Eva Gomes picked up an assist in the win.
The girls fell to Wilson 8-1 but no other information was given.

The boys soccer team took Jim Thorpe to overtime but last 1-0.
Devon Frantz scored the game’s only goal for the Olympians.
Wilson beat Catty 5-0.
J. Hetrick led the way with two goals in the game.

The girls varsity volleyball team fell to Salem Christian 25-15, 25-9, 25-10. The team also lost to Northwestern.

The Catasauqua cross country teams took part in the Lion Invitational recently.
Ana Rodriguez-Rams led the Catty girls with a 30:52 for 117th. Kaylin Stewart was 130th in 36:08
The girls race was won by Virginia Kraus of Saucon Valley with a time of 17:27. She was a full minute ahead of second place finisher Anna Pucilowski of Abington Heights and her 18:37. Lyla Knoble of Easton was third in 19:11 and Parkland’s Harshita Keerthi was fourth in 19:24.
Evan Reed was 98th for the Catty boys with a time of 21:00. Blake Reed was 99th with the same time of 21:00.
Bentley Weaver was 149th in 28:09 and Dylan Reed was 156th in 32:34. Charlie Piervallo was 157th in 32:36.
Kendel Jones of Elk Lake took first with a time of 15:31. Central Bucks East’s Tyler Tomlinson was 2nd in 15:39 and Elk Lake’s Cody Adams was third in 16:16. Elk Lake is a Class A school. Easton’s Evan Guydish was fourth in 16:22 and Palmerton’s Connor Hibell was fifth in 16:31.
