Richard S. Grois, 79, of Macungie, died peacefully at home Aug. 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He and his wife, Dorothy A. (Toth), celebrated 52 years of marriage June 16. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stanley E. and Mary A. (Terfinko) Grois.

He graduated from Emmaus High School and worked as an assembler at Mack Trucks, retiring after 39 dedicated years.

He proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of St. Ann’s Church, Emmaus and was an active member with the Alburtis Rod & Gun Club, Lyons Fire Co., Mercantile Club in Emmaus and American Legion Topton Post 217.

He was always ready to help others anytime day or night; he was “Mr. Handyman” for any household problem.

He enjoyed listening to polka music, river cruises through Germany and France and traveling all through Italy.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, David and his wife, Jennifer, Matthew and his wife, Alia; grandchildren, Elijah and Lilliana; sister, Patricia Litak and her husband, John; five nephews, one niece, one grandnephew; three grandnieces; grand-puppies, Daisy, Monty and Rosie.

He was predeceased by a son; first puppy, Sparky; grand-puppy, CJ.
