Police investigate Bath stabbing

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, is investigating a stabbing that occurred Aug. 24 in Bath Borough.

Troopers were dispatched to the area of 104 E. Main St. just after 2 a.m. Aug. 24 for a report of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, the victim, a 23-year-old male from Allentown, had been transported to a hospital for his injuries.

Upon further investigation, it was determined the victim had sustained stab wounds, police said.

Further investigation revealed the victim had been in a physical altercation when he was stabbed. According to the report, two or three gunshots were also fired from a handgun in an unknown direction.

The gunfire did not cause any injuries, police said.
