Janet Louise Ifkovits, 85, of Northampton, died Aug. 6, 2025, at home. She was the wife of the late Anthony Ifkovits.

Born in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Verna (Vogel) Kurtz.

She graduated from Nazareth High School in 1958 and Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1961.

She was employed as a registered nurse for various health care facilities throughout the area. She was a former head nurse of orthopedics and case management at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, from 1974 to 2012.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and volunteer for church events.

She is survived by a son, Anthony; a daughter, Joann Seier and husband Alfred; four grandchildren, Kyle, Justine and husband Mark Muhlenberg, Jonathan and Michael; two sisters, Barbara Brown and husband George and Roseanne Abel and husband Bob; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8 at the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton, 18067.
