Anna E. (Schwartz) Schaffer, 88, formerly of Schnecksville, died Aug. 25, 2025, at Phoebe Home – Allentown. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Schaffer. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Elwood A. and Frances A. (Deibert) Schwartz.

She was a graduate of William Allen High School, Class of 1955. She was employed as a customer service supervisor at Americold in Fogelsville for 25 years before retiring in 1999.

She was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown where she sang with the choir and attended Bible study classes.

She played the violin in the Allentown Symphony Orchestra and was a former Phoebe Home volunteer.

She is survived by sons, Michael D. (Joann), of Orefield, Timothy J. (Susan), of Slatington; sister, Harriet J. Eastman (Dale), of Telford; grandchildren, Stephen, Nicholas, Benjamin, Andrew; great-grandchildren, Parker, Sophia, Holden, Caden, Weston, Slade, Nora.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 5 at Jordan U.C.C., 1837 Church Road, Allentown. The Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith will be officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. before the service in the church parlor.
