Glen D. Maurer, 83, of Fountain Hill, died Aug. 18, 2025, in St. Luke’s Hospital. He was a son of the late Llewellyn and Mary (Kurtz) Maurer. He was the husband of Korena (Hillier) Maurer for 61 years.

He was a Fountain Hill HS graduate. He studied at Bethlehem Business School.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served from 1959 to 1963 aboard the USS Proteus.

He was an accountant for the United States Parcel Service. Following retirement, he worked with Bon-Ton and H&R Block. He was a member of the National Bowling League and bowled for more than 50 years. He was a golfer.

He researched his family ancestry. He wa a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fountain Hill. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a nephew, Lou Ortiz and his wife Lisa; a cousin, Julie Cooney; and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Ortiz; a niece, Paula J. Toth; and cousin and best friend, Richard Repash Sr. Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1059 Delaware Ave., Fountain Hill, PA 18015.
