GARDEN CLUB: The Bethlehem Garden Club is having a presentation on “Native Plants for Four Seasons of Interest,” Presented by Andy Fedor on Thursday, Sept. 18, at Advent Moravian Church, 3730 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem. Doors Open at 12:30, program at 1 p.m., followed by club meeting and refreshments.
HAZARDOUS WASTE: Registration for the 2025 Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off event will open Thursday, Sept. 4 at 8 a.m. This event is only for Northampton County residents; online preregistration is required. County residents may sign up for one appointment per household. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration often reaches capacity quickly, so residents are encouraged to register promptly and open an account with Eventbrite (www.eventbrite.com) before registration begins. A link to the event will be posted on the Northampton County Homepage.
COFFEE LOVERS: The Cold Brew Hullabaloo returns to the ArtsQuest Campus at SteelStacks for its second year Sunday, Sept. 14, bringing together the Lehigh Valley’s best local coffee shops and roasteries for a chilled-out celebration of all things cold brew.
From noon to 3 p.m., with VIP Early Access Hour beginning at 11 a.m., guests can sip, sample and shop their way through a wide selection of cold brew creations, coffee-inspired treats and artisanal goods. The day will also feature retail vendors and coffee-themed activities to keep the buzz going.
HERITAGE CELEBRATION: A can’t-miss evening of live music, dance, cuisine and cultural pride, all in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event is scheduled for Sept. 27, 6 to 10 p.m., Wind Creek Event Center, Monocacy Room, 77 Wind Creek Blvd., Bethlehem. Proceeds fuel SISU’s life-changing programs supporting vulnerable individuals and families in the Lehigh Valley. Hosted by SISU Empowering Others, a nonprofit dedicated to culturally responsive wellness, mentorship, and community-building for those affected by trauma, HIV, addiction or social marginalization.
BENEFIT WALKS: The Northeast Region of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America will host the 2025 HDSA Team Hope Walk Sept. 13, Lehigh Valley at Hopewell Park Pavilion, 4695 West Hopewell Road, Center Valley. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the event starts at 10. All proceeds support HDSA’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by Huntington’s disease (HD) and their families.

The 2025 Lehigh Valley Walk for Apraxia will be held on Sept. 28 at Lone Lane Park to benefit children with apraxia of speech (CAS). The event begins at 9 a.m. with a ceremony starting at 11 a.m. Registration is FREE and open to all members of the community

BLOCK PARTY: The City of Bethlehem, along with its Lehigh Valley partners, has announced the Moravian Church Settlements — Bethlehem World Heritage Community Celebration, a family-friendly block party and neighborhood festival Saturday, Sept. 6, from noon to 7 p.m. around Central Moravian Church (Church Green), Bethlehem City Hall (Payrow Plaza), Church Street, and Main Street.
The celebration will kick off with an opening ceremony at Central Moravian Church (73 West Church Street), featuring the presentation of the World Heritage recognition plaque — officially marking this historic milestone for the community.
Throughout the day, visitors can explore the World Heritage Site and tour the nine locations that helped earn this prestigious international recognition and enjoy live music on multiple stages throughout the day.
The day will conclude with a Community Lovefeast at 5 p.m., hosted by the six Bethlehem Area Moravian Churches on the lower Church Green near Main Street. This traditional service is open to all and offers an opportunity to share a simple treat together with music, conversation, and community connection.
A free ice cream social will follow the Lovefeast, sponsored by the Bethlehem Area Moravian Churches. All are welcome to join this gathering that continues our community’s tradition of fellowship
DEER WEBINAR: A new webinar series will focus on a holistic view of forest and deer herd management. “Antlers and Academics” is designed “to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to support a healthy deer herd by connecting them with academics who study these subjects every day,” according to a recent press release.
Designed for hunters and anyone interested in learning about white-tailed deer food plots, the following webinars are scheduled:
• “Forest Management and Resources,” 6-7:15 p.m. Sept. 25. Attendees will learn how to manage woodland resources to support wildlife habitat. The session will cover thinning, creating herbaceous openings, establishing wildlife corridors and tools for Pennsylvania landowners to enhance their forested properties.
•“Managing Undesirable Plant Species,” 6-7 p.m. Nov. 20. Presenters will discuss how to spot and manage invasive and overabundant plants to improve forest health, wildlife habitat and food plots.
