Camel’s Hump Farm Nature Education Center at Friends of Johnson, Inc., Bethlehem needs your help with planting trees and saving trees from invasive species by weed whacking and mulching, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., every weekend through the end of the year. K9 Kop Project will be hosting a Mega Basket Raffle at Petersville Rod and Gun Club on September 5 & 6. Volunteers are needed 3-8 p.m. on September 6 to pull tickets, record winners, and check baskets & winning tickets as guests leave. Summer is in full swing at Lehigh Valley Zoo, Schnecksville! Individual or group volunteers are needed to help guests enjoy the sunshine and create family memories with this lineup of special events like Brew At The Zoo on September 13, Fall Wine Festival on September 27, Ottertoberfest on October 4, and Boo At The Zoo the last three weekends of October. Help fight hunger - deliver meals to homebound seniors & adults with disabilities for Meals on Wheels of the Greater LV. M-F deliveries originate from 9 pickup locations throughout the Valley. Sign up when available using our online scheduler; shifts start between 10 & 10:30 a.m. and take 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Deliver on your own or with a friend. The Whitehall Historical Preservation Society needs assistance with its fall flea market. Help with set-up from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept 5. Help is also needed with the event from 7-11 a.m. and/or 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept 6 (rain date Sept 7) to assist with parking, vendors, food booth, signage, clean-up and other tasks as needed.
