Through chaperoned group activities, students connect with local nonprofits and meet peers from 20 high schools across the Lehigh Valley.

Being part of the Youth Council means engaging in leadership development, earning service hours, and exploring various career paths—all in a supportive, welcoming environment. The council is youth-led, with students from five different high schools in leadership positions, and is guided by the dedicated Volunteer Center team.

Each year as part of the program, the center invites students to submit an application for a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship applications are reviewed and up to three students are able to receive them.
