A roadside menagerie
The artistry and creativity of our Route 100 Roadside Artists, Phil Rossetto and Greg Snider, has launched a brand new enjoyable late Summer display bannered with the message “Sigh! Some days are for the birds!”
The birds will remain roosted until after the Labor Day weekend.
Pulling from 15 plus years of their roadside inventory of props, Phil gathered together a menagerie of all his feathered friends, mostly cartoon characters, happily going about their unique daily routines.
Similar to humans, a span of 15 years in captivity brought about many needed therapies and touchups but all hit the roadside this summer looking joyfully renewed to once again be in the wild outdoors.
Red footed booby birds performing ballet and elegantly attired flamingos prancing about with their finery are seen enjoying a visiting pelican, perched parrot and even an ostrich having summer fun!
Whether it is a reflection of the summer heat and humidity we have experienced in recent weeks or more, Phil and Greg has this to say about their banner. “Sigh! Some days are for the birds! is a sentiment reflecting the current roller-coaster times we live in. Enough said.”
