Theft by deception

Someone allegedly used four stolen credit cards to make purchases at retailer Costco Warehouse, 791 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, June 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The suspect fled the store when confronted, according to authorities.

A resident of Fairway Lane, Lower Macungie Township, told authorities her personal computer was hacked and the hackers demanded payment in cryptocurrency, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported July 22.

Extortion

A resident of Manor Drive, Lower Macungie Township, sent inappropriate images to an online account and later sent money to the account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
