Fleeing or eluding police

A 35-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was arrested Aug. 3 after he allegedly fled a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Broadway for speeding, according to Salisbury police. The male was found a short time later after his vehicle rolled onto its roof between two homes a few blocks away from the traffic stop, according to authorities. Officers smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle while helping the driver after the crash. The motorist faces a felony charge of allegedly fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving under the influence and other related charges, according to authorities.

DUI

A 31-year-old female, of Allentown, was arrested Aug. 3 for suspicion of driving under the influence in the 1600 block of Broadway, according to Salisbury police. Officers stopped the motorist for allegedly swerving in and out of a traffic lane, according to authorities.

A 26-year-old female, of Bethlehem, was arrested Aug. 3 for suspicion of driving under the influence in the 1600 block of Broadway, according to Salisbury police. Officers stopped the motorist for allegedly not having working taillights on the vehicle, according to authorities. Police also learned the motorist did not have current automobile insurance nor a valid state inspection.

A 40-year-old male, of Easton, was arrested Aug. 3 for suspicion of driving under the influence along Cardinal Drive at Summit Street, according to Salisbury police. Officers stopped the motorist for allegedly swerving in and out of a traffic lane, according to Salisbury police.

Missing adult

A person reported missing from a location in the 1400 block of East Susquehanna Street Aug. 13 was found unharmed, according to Salisbury police.

Surveillance footage

Two people were recorded on a security camera near a walking trail in the 2800 block of Fish Hatchery Road Aug. 11, according to Salisbury police.

Criminal mischief

An unknown male allegedly entered the private property of Starbucks coffee house, 3300 Lehigh St., at approximately 1:45 a.m. Aug. 4 and threw an object through a front window before fleeing the area on foot, according to Salisbury police. The male, who stood outside of the establishment, was recorded on store security video, according to authorities.

Officers were called out to Laubach Park, 1600 Lehigh Ave., Aug. 7 for a report of an excessive amount of vandalism to township property, according to Salisbury police.

Disturbances

Officers were called to the 2900 block of Acorn Avenue for a disturbance Aug. 6, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to car dealership Porsche Lehigh Valley, 3401 Lehigh St., for a disturbance Aug. 6, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., for a disturbance involving a male who was in possession of a firearm, according to Salisbury police. “Officers located both parties involved and determined the male who had a firearm was legally in possession of it,” according to a press release from Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to a location in the 2500 block of Colorado Street for a disturbance Aug. 12, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to retailer Ross Dress For Less, 3300 Lehigh St., for a disturbance involving customers Aug. 16, according to Salisbury police. The customers involved left the store before police arrived, according to authorities.

Mutual aid

Officers were called to the 400 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard by South Whitehall Township police after a male in a vehicle reportedly was seen flashing a gun at other motorists Aug. 11, according to Salisbury police. Officers checked the area but did not find the male.

Residential fire

Officers were called to a dwelling fire at a location in the 1400 block of East Susquehanna Street Aug. 11, according to Salisbury police. Officers helped firefighters at the scene, according to authorities.
