CASD and Lehigh Career and Technical Institute will be closed from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Schools will reopen and classes will resume Sept. 2.

CASD’s breakfast program begins Sept. 2. Breakfast is free for all students.

Catasauqua High School’s picture Day is scheduled for Sept. 4.

Parents/guardians and students should use the district’s website, school newsletter or PowerSchool platform for specific details and the most up-to-date information about picture day and any necessary instructions.

The CASD Board of Education meets 7 p.m. Sept. 9 in the district administration board room, 201 N. 14th St.

There will be an early dismissal for all schools Sept. 17. The CHS students will be dismissed 12:50 p.m.

Sept. 25 is the mid-marking period for the first quarter for CHS.

LCTI students in grades 9-12 for the 2025-26 school year may be eligible for a scholarship that covers the cost of their tools, boots, uniforms and other out-of-pocket expenses. The number of scholarships is limited, and all scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
