Week 1 was somewhat of a disappointment for teams in the poll. Parkland had a rougher time than anticipated in its win over George Washington, but teams like Emmaus and Freedom suffered lopsided defeats.

Nazareth and Easton showed they will be contenders and Northwestern hasn’t missed a beat from their state title a year ago.
