Moore Township: Committee thanks attendees for support

The Moore Township Community Days committee thanks all who attended the 2025 event.

The committee is also seeking additional members and is working to plan next year’s event. Visit mooretownship.org to get involved.

The township board of supervisors will next meet 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive. A meeting agenda is available on the township website.

The land and environmental protection board will meet 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at the recreation center pavilion, 635 English Road.

The board has successfully preserved countless acres of farmland and open space within Moore Township.

The township recreation committee next meets 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at the recreation center pavilion.

The recreation committee is providing an opportunity to purchase a brick for the veteran memorial at the recreation center. Visit donate.brickmarkers.com/moore to donate or for information how to order a memorial brick.

The township seeks to fill vacancies on the township’s Americans with Disabilities Act Committee. The committee needs three people, with a one-year term. The committee is charged to help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Township supervisors are planning the replacement or major renovation of the municipal building. Visit the township website or call the office to review the plan.

Supervisors are also considering a major upgrade of the township’s recreation parks and open spaces. Visit the website or call the office to learn more about the improvements.

There is a traffic advisory for the following roads in Moore Township: Copella Road (Scenic Drive to Community Drive), Eagle View Road, Terry Road and Yost Road (Route 512 to Route 946). There are road pavement issues that require all motorists to slow down when driving on the roads.

Moore Township Association for Families in Need meets the second Tuesday of each month at Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive.

Bingo is played 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Department, 2718 Mountain View Drive. Doors open 5 p.m.

There will be prizes, a progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank, washline bingo and more fun.

Yard waste can be dropped off 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 7 a.m.-dusk Saturdays at the municipal complex. The bins for drop-off are located near the public works garage, through the gate and to the right. There is one bin for weeds and one bin for brush.

The drop-off is closed on most holidays.

First Regional Compost Authority is open six days a week, weather permitting, for residents to get mulch.
