Kaitlin Ann Tomecek, 37, of Downingtown, died Aug. 14, 2025, at Chester County Hospital in West Chester.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Robert and Kathryn (Stewart) Tomecek of Catasauqua.

She graduated valedictorian of the Catasauqua High School Class of 2006. She continued her education, earning bachelor’s degrees in education and math at Kutztown University. She continued her education, completing two master’s degrees.

She was last employed as a high school math teacher for Garnet Valley High School in Glen Mills.

While in college, she competed on the Kutztown equestrian team and the women’s rugby team, earning MVP status. Post high school, she continued playing rugby with Brandywine Riot and Doylestown Lady Dragons.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Timothy Varley of Fairfax Station, Va., and Robert of Catasauqua; and a sister, Melanie Bilheimer of San Diego, Calif.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
