K-Kid Roundup: Boys soccer wins two

The Northampton boys soccer team picked up two wins to start their season, both times producing a clean slate.

The Kids beat Allen on Monday 2-0, scoring a goal in each half. Blake Lavenburg got things started with an assist from Joey Snyder and then Jacob Fallenstein scored in the second half from Luca Manino. Ryan Nahf made one save in the win.

The boys cruised by Salisbury 9-0, last Friday, scoring five times in the first half.

Lavenburg again got things started as Mannino scored next followed by Fallenstein and then Mannino two more times. Mannino scored four times in the victory.

Fallenstein, Aidan Sugra, Logan Stone and Jace Vajda all picked up first half assists.

Mannino got things started with a goal in the second half, followed by Vajda, Connor Magee and Dante Keen.

Keen, Mannino, Fallenstein and Jason Brabec all picked up second half assists.

The golf team was a 411-439 winner over Stroudsburg last week.

CJ Stumpf shot a 73 to lead the way for NHS. Derek Moyer carded a 75 and Andrew Eberts shot 87. Both River Gotto and Chase Bodnar shot 88, Cooper Fry had an 89 and Corbin Miller scored a 91. Carson Rader had a 94.

The top-five scores for Stroudsburg were Zach Fritz 82, Collin O’Connor, Chris Tretheway and Phil Yetter had 89s while Colin Wrazien had 90.

The Kids defeated Eastburg South recently, 391-457.

Moyer shot 73, and both Stumpf and Fry shot 78s.

Miller had an 80 and Eberts an 82. Bodnar shot an 86 and Rader an 88. Gotto shot a 93.

The tennis team fell to Emmaus 7-0.

The Northampton cross country teams took part in the Lion Invitational last weekend.

Liv Jusinski was 14th for the K-Kid girls with a time of 20:18.

Juliana Joseph was 86th with a time 25:42 and Alexa Wright was 109th in 28:51. Jocelyn Perl took 115th in 30:33 while Brielle Torres was 131st in 36:26 and Allison Rounsaville was 132nd in 36:39.

The girls race was won by Virginia Kraus of Saucon Valley with a time of 17:27. She was a full minute ahead of second place finisher Anna Pucilowski of Abington Heights and her 18:37. Lyla Knoble of Easton was third in 19:11 and Parkland’s Harshita Keerthi was fourth in 19:24.

Michael Muessig was 47th for the Kids in 19:01. Michael Snyder was 87th in 20:21. Liam Sekol took 148th in 28:06.

Kendel Jones of Elk Lake took first with a time of 15:31. Central Bucks East’s Tyler Tomlinson was second in 15:39 and Elk Lake’s Cody Adams was third in 16:16. Elk Lake is a Class A school. Easton’s Evan Guydish was fourth in 16:22 and Palmerton’s Connor Hibell was fifth in 16:31.
