Coplay Public Library: Raffle drawings to be held Aug. 29, Sept. 2

Adults who registered for the summer reading program and have visited Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative sites can receive raffle tickets until noon Aug. 29. You may win a gift basket or even an iPad!

Drawings will be held Aug. 29 for the gift basket and Sept. 2 for the iPad.

Thank you to all the businesses, organizations and individuals who contributed to Coplay Public Library’s 2025 summer reading program, themed Color Our World.

The library will be closed Aug. 30-Sept. 1 for the Labor Day holiday.

The library reopens 10 a.m. Sept. 2.

Author Lori Floyd will visit the library 12:30-2 p.m. Sept. 6. She will read from her top-rated children’s picture book “The Adventures of the Explorers’ Club in New York City.”

Children will receive coloring pages and can participate in the Explorers’ Club scavenger hunt and earn prizes. Copies of Floyd’s book and a sticker sheet will be available for purchase (cash only). Have your copy signed while the author is here!

Registration is required by calling the library at 610-262-7351 or in person.

Preschool storytime and craft is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 12 and 26. Registration is not required.

Come to the library to watch free movies 11 a.m. Saturdays. The movie schedule includes “The Peanuts Movie” Sept. 13, “Beauty and the Beast” Sept. 20 and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” Sept. 27.

The coloring group for teens and adults meets 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. No registration is required.

The fall book sale will be Oct. 3 and 4.

We accept donations of books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles all year. See our donations policy on our website, coplaypl.org, or call the library.

For your safety, drop off donations at the circulation desk during open hours. Do not leave donations at the front door.

The library’s hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
