Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, offers free tours of its three historic buildings, grounds and new museum 1-3 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month — April through November. No reservations are needed.

Knowledgeable guides will discuss the history of each building.

GWHS hosts crafters 10 a.m.-noon the first and third Thursdays in the meeting room of the Monocacy School.

No registration is needed.

Everyone is welcome to attend and work on whatever craft you desire. Bring your project, supplies, a drink and perhaps a snack, and prepare for good conversation and a productive two hours.

A $5 donation is requested to defray facility costs.

Looking ahead: East Allen Township Recreation Department is planning trips in December. The first will be Dec. 6 to see “Deck the Halls” at American Music Theatre, with lunch at Hershey Farms.

The other trip is to the Hallmark Christmas Convention Dec. 13 at New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, N.J. Meet your favorite movie stars from the Hallmark network.
