Among Musikfest’s many free performances were a liberal spread of student acts. Acts from Liberty HS, Freedom HS, and Charter Arts HS were featured across the festival at Plaza Tropical. Also included were local students who take lessons at The Lesson Center. Marketing Musikfest featured both local and nonlocal talents. T’byus Briggs, a Freedom HS student, was one of the Marketing Musikfest performers. Meanwhile, on Lehigh Street, Orbital Drums, made up of drummers who are alumni of Liberty HS, held several performances. Marketing Musikfest is an ArtsQust program that introduces high school students to the marketing process.
