In your Aug. 13 article on the Aug. 5 city council meeting, there seemed to be a misapprehension about the nature of Councilmember Crampsie-Smith’s concerns about the nomination of a realtor to the planning commission. It was not my impression that she was questioning the personal integrity of this volunteer, but rather that she was concerned that he might have to recuse himself a sufficient number of times that his effectiveness on the commission would be limited.
