Whitehall Township Public Library: Registration for Whitehall library’s fall storytime starts Sept. 2

Registration for fall storytimes at Whitehall Township Public Library begins Sept. 2.

Starting in October, preschool storytime is 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays and toddler storytime is 11 a.m. Thursdays.

Join Zoellner Arts for a Mo Willems Pigeon storytime 11 a.m. Sept. 9 with stories, crafts and more. This is for toddlers to first-graders.

Registration is required.

The library is currently accepting book and media donations for the fall book sale, set for Sept. 26 and 27.

The library is working with Plant a Row Lehigh Valley again this year to bring fresh produce to local families in need. You can drop off produce at the library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays.

Your donations benefit the Whitehall Food Pantry at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.

The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come and discuss what you’re currently reading.

The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday.

The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

The Death Cafe, a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes, meets 6:30 p.m. the third Monday.

The library’s regular hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

For Nathaniel Rodriguez, it’s not an official summer reading program finale without signing out a couple of books. Participants in the program gathered Aug. 9 at Whitehall Township Public Library, 3700 Mechanicsville Road, for fun and games.
Dolly Wertman, of Coplay, accepts the challenge of Jenga. Each block chosen says something for the player to do. Dolly’s block tells her to sing a nursery rhyme that comes to mind, which resulted in “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”
