If neighbors in Stiles are looking for something fun to do this weekend, stop by the 44th annual Coplay Community Days at Saylor Park at Second and Keefer streets, Coplay. The event is scheduled for Aug. 22-24.

Enjoy the Aardvarks 7-10 p.m. on Friday night. The Saturday entertainment includes Steel Creek Country 12:30-3:30 p.m., Rock Steady 4-6 p.m. and the Castaway Band 7-10 p.m. On Sunday, Joseph Kroboth will be performing 1-3:30 p.m., and the Brian Dean Moore Band plays 6-9 p.m.

In addition to musical entertainment, there will be delicious food and drinks for purchase.

The anticipated St. John the Baptist Catholic Church annual parish picnic is coming! Stop by the church grounds at Ruch and Chestnut streets 1-9 p.m. Aug. 31. Remember to bring your lawn chairs and your appetite!

The Great Allentown Fair is slated to run from Aug. 27 to Sept. 1 at the Allentown Fairgrounds, 302 N. 17th St. Enjoying the fair is always a fun end-of-summer celebration. Stop by and check out the rides, games, delicious food, fabulous entertainment, cooking demonstrations, livestock and agricultural-themed demonstrations.

With the first day of school quickly approaching for all students in the community, drivers should be aware and extra careful in the mornings as children will be walking to bus stops while commuters are leaving for work.

The Whitehall High School Class of 1978 is hosting a 65th birthday celebration noon-7 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Egypt Memorial Park pavilion, 4548 Main St.

There is a cost, which includes hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks, water and music. It is BYOB with beer and wine only (no glass bottles). Please bring a covered dish or dessert to share.
