Northampton police responded to these and other calls recently.

JULY 9

Traffic stops were conducted in the 900 block of Main Street, at West 21st and Canal streets and at Sycamore Court and Hollow Lane.

Officers checked on the welfare of a female in the 100 block of Howertown Road.

Civil matters took place in the 1200, 1700 and 1800 blocks of Main Street and the unit block of East Seventh Street.

A report of a suspicious male in the 1200 block of Newport Avenue had police at the scene.

Police checked the area on West 21st Street.

In the unit block of East Seventh Street, a report of a disturbance was investigated.

On Smith Lane, a reported juvenile issue took place.

Officers assisted South Whitehall police in the 1500 block of Poplar Street in locating a male.

JULY 10

Traffic stops were conducted at Franklin and West 19th streets; at East 21st and Main streets; on East 22nd, Main, West Ninth and West 25th streets; in the unit block of West 21st Street; the 500 block of Main Street; at Cherryville Road and West 26th Street; at Main Street and Laubach Avenue; at Main and West 14th streets; at Poplar and Williams streets; and at West 21st and Canal streets.

An unattended death in the 600 block of East 21st Street was investigated.

Police assisted a female in the 2400 block of Dewey Avenue.

Civil matters were investigated in the 500 block of East 20th Street and the 1900 block of Main Street.

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the unit block of Lerchenmiller Drive.

Suspicious activity at Canal and West 14th streets was reported.

JULY 11

Traffic stops were conducted in the 500 block of East Fourth Street, at Chestnut and Poplar streets, in the unit block of West 21st Street and on West Ninth, East 21st and Main streets.

A juvenile problem occurred in the 300 block of East 10th Street.

Officers assisted a female at Newport Avenue and West 16th Street.

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the 500 block of East Fourth Street.

JULY 12

Traffic stops were conducted in the unit block of West 21st Street, the 2100 block of Canal Street and the 1500 block of Washington Avenue.

Reports of suspicious activity were investigated in the 1300 block of Stewart Street and the 2200 block of Washington Avenue.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of Newport Avenue.

In the 400 block of East 10th Street, police addressed a noise complaint.
