Monica M. Plata, 75, of Northampton, died Aug. 12, 2025, at Alexandria Manor, Nazareth.

Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Michael Sr. and Anna (Biss) Plata.

She was a medical assistant for Lehigh Valley Hospital for 17 years.

She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Edward M. and wife Bethann; a granddaughter, Sarah; three sisters, Ruthann Grieshammer, Mary Helen and Annmarie Pavlinsky; a sister-in-law, Virginia; and good friends, Barbara and Richard Ebner and Jean Keschl.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Edward, Michael, Robert and David; and a sister, Virginia.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Aug. 23 at the church, 2181 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
