Florence M. Dennihy, 88, of Bethlehem, died Aug. 3, 2025, at Bethlehem Manor. She was the wife of the late James L. Dennihy Sr., who died in 1972. She was born in Staten Island, NY to the late Donald and Edith (Cleland) Aspinwall.
She pursued education with passion, earning an associate’s degree that opened doors for her in the financial industry. She enjoyed a successful career as a bookkeeper for Lehman Brothers in New York City.
She raised her two children, James and Sharon, as a young widow. She was happiest when she was spending time with family and her beloved Yorkie, Emma, with whom she enjoyed daily walks.
She is survived by: children: James L., Jr. (Elise R.) Dennihy of Annadale, NJ, Sharon (Paul J.) Gale of The Villages, FL; siblings: Douglas R. (Donna) Aspinwall of Edison, NJ, James Aspinwall of Jersey City, NJ; grandchildren: Jimmy Dennihy, Daniel Gale, Chelsea Poteet, Kristin Dennihy. Predeceased by her brother: Thomas Aspinwall.
