With Musikfest in our rear view mirror, and the Allentown Fair approaching, that can only mean one thing ... the return of the school year for the students in Salisbury Township is quickly approaching!
Orientation for students entering kindergarten and fifth and ninth grades will be held Aug. 25 and the first official day of school for all students will be Aug. 26. There will be no school Aug. 29 or Sept. 1.
Device rollout for students will be Aug. 27. Students in K-4 will receive an iPad and students in 5-12 will receive a MacBook Air laptop.
The district is requesting all parents to complete the device agreement form A and the handbook consent form before this date. There is also an optional insurance fee recommended before device pickup.
The district is proud to announce breakfast and lunch will remain free to all students this year. Students with funds in their Payschool account may use this for snacks. This account may be set up at payschools.com or via an app available for download.
Also important to know, is to ensure you have access to the school district community portal. This is where all your student’s crucial information will appear, including teachers, homeroom, bus schedule, class schedules and report cards. Visit the district website to set that up. All updated information should be live on the site by Aug. 13.
Salisbury Elementary School will hold a Kindergarten Meet the Teacher night 7-8:15 p.m. Aug. 20. If you have an incoming kindergarten student, look out for more information on this night.
Salisbury Middle School will hold its annual back to school open house 6:45-8:30 p.m. Aug. 21 while Salisbury High School will hold its open house 6:45-9 p.m. Sept. 21.
