The Suburban Swim League of the Lehigh Valley held its Silvers Championship Meet on July 16 at Macungie where the Whitehall Waves competed against eight summer swim teams.

Events with top finishers for Whitehall’s girls were 6 & Under 25 freestyle Ella Potocnie (fourth, 23.78), 9-10 25 backstroke Sophia Pio (sixth, 22.18), 11-12 50 butterfly Lydia Schwenk (fifth, 43.93).

Also in age group 9-10, Sophia Pio (fourth, 16.80), Guilianna Zuniga (sixth) and Aria Potocnie (seventh) in 25 freestyle, Aria Potocnie (second, 21.70) and Guilianna Zuniga (sixth) in 25 breaststroke, and Aria Potocnie (third, 20.35) and Daymairis Charles (fifth) in 25 butterfly.

Top finishers for Whitehall’s boys were Tarek Makhoul in 9-10 25 breaststroke (fifth, 26.03) and 25 freestyle (sixth, 17.58), and Youssef Moussa in 11-12 50 free (fifth, 34.64) and 12 & Under 100 IM (third, 1:34.78).

Final team scores were Hanover Stingrays 1326.5, Soleco Stingrays 1111.5, Lower Macungie Lazers 942, Macungie Bears 762, Bethlehem Tides 667.5, Quakertown Dolphins 466, Whitehall Waves 257, Northampton Kids 139.5, Palmerton Porpoises 133.
