Dr. Jessica Marita Adams-Skinner, 63, of Northampton, died Aug. 6, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Vernon V. Skinner for 34 years.

Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Joyce (Thomas) Adams.

She was a high school graduate who continued her education earning her doctorate degree in health sciences.

She was last employed as the director of community health for Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

She was very active with women’s ministry, serving in the city of Bethlehem.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Julian E. Adams of Trincity, Trinidad, and Jerry B. Adams of East Stroudsburg; a sister, Jacquline S. Adams of Trincity, Trinidad; four nieces, Jalessa, Jameela, Cheniece and Jada; five nephews, Jarrell, Jamaul, Jeremy, Jelanee and Jabari; cousins, the Lukes, Adams and Feracho; a sister-in-law, Jennifer Adams; four godchildren, Patrick, Diamond, Chelsea and Tricia; and many others.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Adams and Janice Adams-Manswell.

There will be calling times 6-8 p.m. Aug. 15 and 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 16, followed by a funeral service noon Aug. 16, all at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
