Connie Lynn Renner

EHS Class of 1987 graduate

Connie Lynn Renner, 56, of Schnecksville, died Aug. 6, 2025, after a courageous battle against Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma. She was born in Allentown, the daughter of Richard and Betty Schraden (David).

She graduated from Emmaus High School in 1987, attended LCCC and completed her SHRM certification through Penn State University.

She was the wife of Howard Renner.

She worked for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network for 16 years, finishing as manager of clinical staffing services before retiring in January 2022.

She loved volunteering and was involved with several local dog rescues, fostering 37 puppies during that time.

After her diagnosis in February 2021, she used the services of and volunteered for The Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley. The organization and the people were incredibly special to her. She was honored to speak about her journey at the 2023 Wings of Hope: A Butterfly Release. She created a Facebook group in support of Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma survivors and caregivers. The group currently has 496 community members worldwide.

In addition to her mother and her husband, she is survived by children, Sadie, Cameron, Brooke, Chad and his wife, Jennifer Khawam; brother, Scott Schraden and his wife, Amy; sister, Rebecca and her husband, Brian Soler; sister-in-law, Lisa Shucavage and her husband, John; nephews, Justin Schraden and Erik Shucavage; niece, Rachel McKim and her husband, Brad. In addition to family, she will be deeply missed by two little girls who meant the world to her and who referred to her as “Aunt Connie” – Eleanor and her goddaughter, Hemley.

She was predeceased by her father, Richard.

The family would like to thank the St. Luke’s Infusion Center, Cetronia Road, Allentown, for their four years of care and more importantly friendship as well as the wonderful staff of St. Luke’s Hospice for keeping her comfortable in her final weeks.

A visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. with a memorial service starting 11:15 a.m. Aug. 21 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. At her request, bright flowers and sunflowers, no black clothing and no lilies.
