Barry A. Hausman
Barry A. Hausman, 74, of Walnutport, died Aug. 3, 2025, at St. Luke’s Bethlehem. He was the husband of Phyllis A. (Vasilik) Hausman for 54 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Francis P. and Verna C. (Haydt) Hausman.
He was a Class of 1969 Whitehall High School graduate. After graduation, he went to IBM computer school while working various jobs.
He became a self-employed contractor of Barry A. Hausman Roofing and Siding for 40 years before a back injury led to his retirement in 2012.
He was a past member of the former Blue Ridge Country Club, a lifetime member of West Coplay Maennerchor and a current member of Diamond Fire Company Social Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Barry Jr. and companion Andrea Hoffman of Slatington, Holly F. Hausman Sell and husband Robert P. of Palmerton and Kelly M. Deibert and husband Erick of Danielsville; two sisters, Donna Campbell of Northampton and Sharon Mohl of Millerstown; six grandchildren, Barry III, Austin, Noah, Avery, Hunter and Sadie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by nine siblings, Leonard, Jean, Gloria, Donald, Shirley, Charles, Clark, Bonnie and Rose.
There will be a celebration of life 12:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at NOVA (Northern Valley Emergency Medical Services), 2375 Levans Road, Coplay, 18037.
Contributions may be made to Gift of Life Donor Program and/or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, both c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Schnecksville, 18078-0196. He was grateful for the extra time he was given through organ donation. He asks others to consider being an organ donor.
