Third Eye Blind, Boys Like Girls, 7 p.m. Aug. 8, Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza. Gates open: 6 p.m. Third Eye Blind is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, Calif., in 1993. After years of lineup changes in the early and mid-1990s, the songwriting duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the band’s first major-label recording contract with their self-titled debut album released in 1997. The band’s lineup is: Stephan Jenkins, lead vocals, guitar (1993 - present); Brad Hargreaves, drums, percussion (1995 - present); Kryz Reid, guitar (2010 - present); Alex LeCavalier, bass (2013 - present) and Colin Creev, keyboards, guitar (2019 - present). The band’s studio albums include “Third Eye Blind” (1997), “Blue” (1999), “Out of the Vein” (2003), “Ursa Major” (2009), “Dopamine” (2015), “Screamer” (2019) and “Our Bande Apart” (2021). On March 13, the band released a new song, “Like A Lullaby,” first performed during a “Tiny Desk” performance on NPR. The track was co-produced by Jenkins and Eric Valentine, who produced the band’s debut.
