Historical Society hosts Old Time Plow Boy summer show Aug. 9, 10
Weisenberg/Lowhill Township Historical Society is hosting The Old Time Plow Boys summer show 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10.
Rod Geisinger Vocal Group will be performing both days.
Tickets are being sold to win a 1949 Massey Harris pony tractor. The winning ticket will be selected at their Christmas event on Dec. 6. Tickets are $5 each.
The historical society is presenting its genealogy networking from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Aug. 10 and 5-7 p.m. Aug. 25.

Christ’s Church at Lowhill in partnership with Lower Macungie and Weisenberg-Lowhill Township Historical Societies will be showing “The Fries Rebellion” a film about self-discovery and political protest in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley free to the public 7 p.m. Aug. 12 at 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli.
The church will also be hosting Vince’s Famous Cheesesteak Food Truck for a fundraiser noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 13.
Vince’s will donate $1 for every sandwich sold right back to the church.
Lowhill Church will also be selling homemade baked goods.

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a Dine to Donate event from 3-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 26 at 2374 Seipstown Road, Fogelsville.
This event is dine in or take out.
Ten percent of total food purchases will be donated to the fire department.
Since the last event had such a great turnout, Giovanni’s has promised that they will be ready with extra staff to support this event.
The volunteer fire department community day will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Weisenberg Field, 9504 Bachelor Road, Kutztown.
There will be music, activities, local artisans and more.
Food and treats will include Vince’s Famous Cheesesteak Food Truck, the Nesting Box ice cream and bake sale.
This event to benefit the Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department.
