Elaine L. Muhr, 88, of Allentown, died July 24, 2025, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late William F. Muhr Sr.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Florence M. (Brong) Fenstermacher.

She attended Harrison Morton Junior High School and Allentown High School, where she was a majorette with the award-winning AHS band. She was an active member of the AHS Class of 1954 reunion committee.

She worked for the Allentown School District as both a secretary at Wilson Elementary School and an administrative assistant to the superintendent and his staff.

She and her husband were longtime members of Mink Pond Club in the mountains of Bushkill.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. William F. Jr. and wife Kathleen of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Gregory T. and wife Jill of Allentown; five grandchildren, Matthew with Kelsey, Billy with Lindsey, Ava, Zachary with Monica and Jeremy with Allison; and a great-grandson, Liam.
